最近、友理ちゃんの日記は何でも書いていない。その理由は、必ず、彼女は仕事が忙しくて、自分の英語勉強の時間もないからだ。長い文章がぜんぜん必要ない、一文二分でも書いたら上達するから、頑張ってください。

もう日本の外交体制がつまらない！。今から日本の外交について書きます、決断しました。重要な点二つあります。まずは、日本は中国に対して、自分の軍隊で中国を牽制して、そして中国の影響を封じ込めることを論じます。もう一つは、地域に中心して、分析することです。

証拠と種類がたっぷりあるから、問題ない。

仕事が進むと嬉しくなる。今日は、遅く書き始めたのに、５００字を書けたのでものすごく満足だ。今から、台湾についての、インフォマルセミがある、ブリチシュに。（BRITISH　PUB)。ちょっと邪魔と見えるが、多分面白いので参加する予定です。

今、日本の外交政策の機関的変化について書いています。私の論理は、1955体制が終わった後、外交政策には世論の影響力が増して、中国に対する外交が複雑になりました。
ちなみに、1955体制というのは、自由民主党がずっと与党で、自民党に有利な選挙体制があること。

私は起きたところ首が痛くて、動きにくいです。。。首の左がわの筋肉が特に痛いです。その体の調子で、ジムにいくわけはありませんって考えて、今日はゆっくり過ごさないといけないと思います。今から、大学に歩いて行きます。

A test of theory: A strict application of the Balance of Power theory in Asia sees the following.

1/ Taiwan will return to the PRC. This will occur when PRC can no longer be balanced against, which I will state as when Chinese real military spending is no. 1 in the region.

2/ DPRK will trigger a war in North East Asia. The DPRK is in the midst of a security dilemma, its 'defensive' nuclear capability will be seen in offensive terms by its peers. War is the only path to restoring balance.

observations:

These prediced outcomes are disheartening. If proven true in the next 20yrs, I will confirm myself as realist, else I still with current approach. Additionally, if I were a smart bean I would stick clear of Japan, both contingencies invovle Japan potentially getting hit again. Eek

rock some, great minds are thinking about these issues too - and frighteningly enough making the same arguement although with better evidence and theory.

China's rise in economic, political and military fields is of course worrying. any change in the status quo is greeted coolly in international relations, and changes in the balance of power are regarded as especially suspect due to their relation with the out break of war. China has sought to allay these fears with the doctrine of 'peaceful rise', which has appeared in Chinese speaches and white papers. 'Peaceful rise' is essentially the proposition, made by the Chinese, that the increase in their power is not a threat but an opportunity. Given the admittedly poor correlation between chinese talk and policy walk, the peaceful rise idea should be treated skeptically. That said, the PRC has been an increasingly responsible power since the mid 90s, after they realised that nuclear tests, misile tests and military exercises do not do them any favors. however the recent shoting out of satelite with a so-called kinetic-kill device is a signal. it is a signal that the peaceful rise only goes far, and the PLA (army) is still keen to be the preeminent power in the region. breaking the norms around the peaceful use of space is not the behavior of a responsible power. China is again looking threatening to its neighbors. but the real danger lies not with ASAT (anti-satelite) tests, but it the chinese disatifisation with the US led security order in asia with the test indicates. most in the region still approve of the US security order, and do not wish to see it replaced with a china-centric structure. this tension may indeed become more significant as the US slips into decline and China accelerates, becoming a driver of greater problems in the region. China is not however hardened in its resolve to challenge the US just yet.

Bowles says Chinese leaders have analyzed the 1985 Plaza Accord and its impact on Japan. They did not particularly like what they saw. And, he says China "will not be pressured into entering a similar type of agreement with the US" Bowles adds, "Such an agreement would be seen as serving US rather than China's interests and the types of numbers being bandied around in Washington as the desirable appreciation of the renminbi are non-starters in Beijing."

In the past Japan was able to learn from China's bad experience with the West. Now China is learning from Japan. The developmental state philosophy, and its paired Export Led Growth model, is alive and well in Beijing even if a dead duck in Tokyo. Which raises the question, without an economic model to advocate, how will Japan establish itself as a leader in the growing East Asian Community?

Advantages seem to be accrueing for China relative to Japan in this regard.
